Mead, Merchants & Music event set May 5 at Brimming Horn

The Brimming Horn Meadery, Frantic Frets and the Frantic Music Project will host Mead, Merchants & Music from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday, May 5, at 28615 Lewes Georgetown Highway, Milton.

Local artists and vendors will sell original items from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Al Frantic will warm up the stage and perform his eclectic mix of covers and originals from 12:30 to 3 p.m., followed by Frantic Music Project’s open mic session from 3 to 6 p.m. Open mic signups start at 2:45 p.m.

The Brimming Horn Meadery and its Hammer & Horns Food Truck will be offering beverage and menu items for purchase. The event is free to attend.

The Mead, Merchants & Music series will continue on the first Sunday of each month through October: June 2, July 7, Aug. 4, Sept. 1 and Oct. 6.

Confirmed May 5 vendors include: Humane Animal Partners with adoptable dogs, Balcony Beads & Beach, CM2 Creations, Extended Play, Jars & Jems, King's Coffee, Milton Garden Club/Kathryn’s Treasures, SummahJay Art, Suzie Q's Q-Ts, and T Spoon's Jams.

For open mic participants, backline is provided including PA, microphones, stands, electric guitar and bass amp, and drum kit. Solos, duos and small bands with original or cover music are welcome, with solo/acoustic only artists performing from 3 to 5 p.m., and electric/trios/bands from 5 to 6 p.m. Each set will consist of up to two songs no more than 10 minutes total. House musicians are available.
