Lewes environmental group to meet May 6

The Lewes Planning Commission’s Environmental Subcommittee will meet at 1 p.m., Monday, May 6, at city hall.

The agenda includes discussion and possible recommendation on amending the wetland buffer ordinance.

Expungement fair set for Georgetown

A limited number of free expungement counseling sessions will be available during a fair set for  10 a.m. to 2 p.m.,  Monday, May 20, at First State Community Action Agency, 308 N. Railroad Ave., Georgetown.

The fair is a partnership with the Office of Defense Services, Delaware Criminal Justice Information System and the APEX Program. Register at tinyurl.com/auvvtkkp.

Dewey street paving moved to fall

Dewey Beach Town Manager Bill Zolper said the Delaware Department of Transportation informed the town April 25 that paving in town will not take place this spring; it has been postponed until after Oct. 1.

Dewey marketing committee to meet

The Dewey Beach Marketing Committee will meet at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 7, at the Lifesaving Station, 1 Dagsworthy Ave. Members will possibly vote to recommend a new town event and will discuss Dewey in Bloom updates. For an agenda, go to townofdeweybeach.com.

Dewey sets summer hours, lifeguard start

Dewey Beach Town Hall front office will expand its hours starting Saturday, May 18. In addition to regular weekly hours, it will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Fridays; 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturdays; and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sundays. Lifeguards will begin patrol at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 25.
