We are pleased to announce the establishment of the Southeastern Sussex Regional Police Accountability Committee, which is aimed at fostering transparency, community engagement and accountability within our law enforcement agencies.
The inaugural meeting of the committee will take place at 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 24, at the Ocean View Police Department, 201 Central Ave., Ocean View.
The regional PAC will proudly represent the Dewey Beach, Fenwick Island, Ocean View and South Bethany police departments, serving as a vital bridge between our agencies and the communities we protect and serve.
The primary purpose of the regional PAC is to provide valuable advice to our police departments on policy, training and other pertinent issues that impact both the departments and the communities we serve. By fostering open dialogue and collaboration, we aim to ensure that our law enforcement agencies effectively meet the needs and expectations of our diverse communities.
During the inaugural meeting, we will introduce committee members, outline our objectives and discuss the framework for future engagements. We encourage active participation from residents, community leaders and stakeholders as we embark on this important journey together.
Your input and involvement are crucial to the success of this endeavor. We look forward to your attendance and meaningful contributions to the Southeastern Sussex Regional Police Accountability Committee.
