Ruth Ann Gladden, enjoyed traveling

Ruth Ann Gladden, 85, of Georgetown, passed away Friday, May 17, 2024, at Accent Care Hospice in Wilmington. She was born in Robbins, Tenn., Sept 1, 1938, daughter of the late Norma Ruth Chitwood. She was also predeceased by a son, Scott Wilbur Pullin Sr.

She enjoyed traveling and spending winters in Florida with her husband Jack, doing craft-style painting and scrapbooking.  She was also a member of the Red Hat Society, and a former member of Calvary Baptist Church, Georgetown.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, John Thomas Gladden; children, Georgianna Stokes (Robert) of Sugar Grove, Va., Eddie Pullin (Mary Jane Jones) of York, Pa., Linda Pullin of Aberdeen, Md.; stepson, John Gladden (Nancy) of Pylesville, Md.; stepdaughter, Laurie Gladden of Millsboro; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandsons.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 28, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Dodd-Carey Chapel, 307 N. Bedford St., Georgetown, with a viewing beginning at 10 a.m.  Burial will follow at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro.
