Worcester Prep supports Harry K Foundation to reduce food insecurity

April 30, 2025
Each month, Worcester Preparatory School students submit the names of foundations they wish to support for Worcester Wednesday, a fundraising effort initiated by the school. For March, both 10th-grader Gabriella Damouni and sixth-grader Serena Jaoude suggested the Harry K Foundation to support its efforts to end food insecurity for Delaware children.

In exchange for a $5 donation to the foundation, students and faculty were allowed to dress casually for Worcester Wednesday, March 26. Approximately $2,300 was raised by students and staff.

The Harry K Foundation, led by Harry Keswani, is exploring innovative strategies, including school backpack programs and 50 food pantries throughout the state, to address the problem of childhood hunger. For more information, visit  harrykfoundation.org.
